How Lithuania is combating climate change through reforestation

In Lithuania, in Trakai Historical National Park, a foundation is buying plots of land to reforest them and thus prevent any human intervention in the long term. This foundation is calling for donations from individuals and businesses to raise awareness of the importance of primary forests. Forests are important carbon sinks, and Lithuania's national goal is to have 35% of its territory covered by forest by 2030.
