When it comes to the fight against feminicide and violence against women, Spain is usually top of the class. For the last 16 years, the country has been using a flagship device, an electronic tag worn by the perpetrator, connected to an emergency phone given to the victim. But a scandal is breaking out because many women have reported serious malfunctioning of the system.
