Madrid's International Festival of Sacred Music (FIAS) offers a unique international program every year at various venues around the Spanish capital. The venue for this concert is the San Miguel basilica for a performance of Tomás Luis de Victoria's Tenebræ Responsoria by Cantoría, a young Spanish ensemble with an international following.

Conductor Jaan-Eik Tulve and his Vox Clamantis choir give a special performance for the 30th edition of La Folle Journée: An a cappella concert featuring works by Duruflé, Bruckner, Pärt and Von Bingen, as well as Gregorian chants. Including Arvo Part was a natural choice seeing as Jaan-Eik Tulve and Vox Clamantis also come from Estonia. Four works by the immense Baltic composer fill the Cité des Congrès de Nantes auditorium: Missa syllabica, Nunc dimittis, Da pacem, Domine and And I Heard a Voice, sitting next to other works like an excerpt from Quatre Motets sur des thèmes grégoriens by Maurice Duruflé, Gloria by Helena Tulve (performed for the first time in France) and O ignis Spiritus by Hildegarde Von Bingen.

Three Motets by Lully

Raphaël Pichon conducts the Pygmalion orchestra in works by Johann Sebastian Bach dedicated to the figure of Christ. Six singers join the orchestra: Julian Prégardien (Evangelist), Huw Montague Rendall (Jesus), Ying Fang (soprano), Helena Rasker (alto), Laurence Kilsby (tenor) and Christian Immler (bass).
