Facial recognition: the United Kingdom under surveillance

In the United Kingdom, video surveillance is now paired with facial recognition. Used by the police, this technology can identify and intercept wanted individuals by comparing the faces of passers-by with a database in real time. Unlike many of its European neighbours, the UK has no specific legislation regulating facial recognition.
