South Africa abolished apartheid over 30 years ago, but Nelson Mandela’s dream of a harmonious rainbow nation has still not been fulfilled. South Africa is still one of the most unequal countries in the world.
Many black people still live in townships without access to good education or cultural activities. Professional violinist Maria Botha, brought up in a wealthy whilte Afrikaner family during apartheid, is trying to change township children’s lives through teaching her instrument.
