Meechy Darko first made waves back in 2012 as one of the Flatbush Zombies, a Brooklyn trio from the new school but lyrically focussed on the ghetto. His first solo album <em>Gothic Luxury </em>uses gothic themes to broach new themes in his music like institutional racism and the scourges of capitalism.
