As one of the pioneers of death metal, Florida band Obituary have been criss-crossing the globe since the 80s. In the early days frontman John Tardy dispensed with lyrics, preferring to scream whatever came into his head into the microphone. Lyrics were added over time, to the point that the vocals are now central to the band. They continue to reap new fans.
