Since 2018, our reporters have been documenting the daily lives of civilians in the last rebel-held region of Syria. In 2020, they met Hammoudi, Bilal, Ahmad, and their friends, all around 12 years old and already out of school, working hard instead. Without their meagre earnings, their families would not be able to survive. Three years later, in 2023, our reporters returned to Idlib to find out what has become of the boys in this war-torn country.
