Matthew had a burnout years ago and fled to Portugal to set up his paradise quinta in Portugal. But that sanctuary is now under threat: permission has been granted for an avocado plantation to be built next door. But avocados use up huge amounts of water, and the stream that the quinta depends on as a primary water source is in danger of running dry.
