The art of reconstructive tattoos

Tattooing began as an ancient symbolic practice and has evolved into an artform, but today it can also be used to cover scars, camouflage skin conditions and even reconstruct nipples after mastectomy, allowing people to cope better with the aftermath of accidents or illness. Laetitia Limmois meets reconstructive tattoo artists and uncovers the possibilities and the risks.
