Fairground Festival

The Fairground Festival in Hanover drew some 14,000 fans for its first edition in 2022. In other words, it was a sell-out. In 2023, this off-season festival has proved to be once again a rallying point for fans of techno and electro.

Originally from Rotterdam, the DJ and producer better known in the city as Oliver Heldens began his career in 2013. A year later, he shot to international fame with his track ‘Gecko’. Somewhere between deep, tech and future, HI-LO's music is at the crossroads of different house trends. The Dutch artist is now a regular at prestigious festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland.

In 2014, the track ‘Gecko’ secured international recognition for HI-LO, a pioneering artist of future house.

His first set dates back to 2010, at the Kapital in Madrid. Now 29, he has become one of the most sought-after young DJs across the globe and a regular at major electro and house festivals. In 2015, he shot to the top of the German iTunes charts overnight with the track ‘Tronco’.

Akki is now one of the leading techno stars around Frankfurt. Fascinated by electro music from an early age, he studied music production. Today, techno artists like Pappenheimer cover his tracks. A keen collaborator, Akki's Horizon project includes appearances alongside DJ Kaspar.
