Off the Beaten Track
106 min
Disponible jusqu'au 31/12/2025
In 1903 Tahiti, doctor, poet and artist Victor Segalen sails from France to Hiva-Oa, eager to meet Paul Gauguin. But upon reaching the island, he learns that the painter has just died. Inspired by Segalen’s own writings, “Off the Beaten Track” is a reflection on Gauguin’s legacy, his contradictions and the uneasy dynamics between colonisers and the colonised.
