Israel accused of torture of Palestinian prisoners

After the Hamas attacks on 7 October, 2023, the Israeli Defence Forces opened a detention centre at Sde Teiman, near the Gaza border in the south of Israel, for Palestinians captured during the fighting. But several Israeli human rights organisations have condemned the detention conditions – with whistleblowers saying prisoners are blindfolded for days – which they say are contrary to international law.
