52 min

In the summer of 1953, 17-year-old Françoise Sagan set to work writing Bonjour Tristesse, after failing her university entrance exams. Just a few months later she's a published author and France is shocked by her frank account of young female sexuality. The novel tells the story of 17-year-old Cécile, on holiday with her attractive father Raymond, and Elsa, one of many in a long line of girlfriends. It's there that Cécile experiences her sexual awakening, losing her virginity to the handsome young Cyril.
