The One and Only Tarzan
52 min
Available until 30/04/2026
An inside view on the glory and tragedy of Johnny Weissmuller, the world class swimmer and the one and only real Tarzan from the original 1930s Hollywood blockbusters. He was a star who became a prisoner of his own image, created by Tinseltown.
This documentary is a sensitive, yet unsentimental portrayal of the man who was Tarzan to movie fans around the world. Based on his son Johnny Junior's inside perspective on his father's life and career the film features interviews with his father's celebrity friends and former wives, recollections of conversations with his father over the years, and family stories involving Hollywood stars.
