In 2016, Lukas Achermann decided to leave his hometown of Lucerne to follow his dream of setting up a tourism business on the shores of Lake Baikal in Eastern Siberia. Then came the pandemic, and in its wake the Russian invasion of Ukraine. But Lukas has no plans to leave Siberia – he's made himself a home there, and friends, and feels a real solidarity with them. After all, life must go on in Putin's Russia.
